Tom Parsons: Vicar

Tom is married to Katie and has three teenage sons. He became Vicar of Christ Church in 2010 after working in churches in central London and Whitehaven. Originally a musician (an oboe player), he still loves music. He enjoys reading, running, watching Korean dramas and following Aston Villa football club. Tom is glad to be a Christian because of Jesus himself, and the joy of knowing him.

 
 
 

Kevyn Oliver: Children’s, youth and families Minister

Kevyn is married to Karine has 2 young girls. Recently returned from Brazil where he lived for 21 years and served as a Salvation Army Minister for the last 9 and a half years. He has a bachelor degree in Theology and loves working with young people and is also a musician (percussion, saxophone and trumpet). Kevyn is glad he is a Christian because Jesus is his friend and ever present companion.

Kelly Newman: Church Coordinator

Kelly is married to Ashley and they share two children together. She likes walking, reading, going to the gym and when she has time upcycling furniture. She enjoys her role as the Church coordinator as she likes being part of a loving Church community. Kelly has been a Christian throughout her life but has recently found a greater love for Jesus. Kelly is glad she is a Christian because of the hope of what is to come.

Leigh Evans: Verger

Leigh grew up in Mottingham and moved to Sidcup with his four children Jodie, Libby, Nancy and Rosalie. He enjoys going for long walks and supporting the mighty Tottenham Hotspur’s. Leigh is glad he is a Christian because through Jesus’ death on the cross his sins are forgiven.

Dawn Watson: Parish Safeguarding Officer

Dawn is married to Daryl and they are blessed to have three adult children, two grandchildren and their parents all living nearby. Dawn enjoys time with the family, sewing and walking their dog. As a former police officer and now working for a Christian safeguarding charity, Dawn knows the importance of trying to make our church a safe place for everyone. Dawn is glad to be a Christian because in times of joy and struggle, Jesus has been her constant companion and remains her strength since coming to faith as a teenager.

Tom is retired and married to Diane . They have two children and four grandchildren. He likes to spend time with his family and fishing. Tom is glad to be a Christian because every day he knows that he has a Father in Heaven who loves him.
